International Media Production Zone

The International Media Production Zone (IMPZ) is an eco-friendly media production zone designed to meet the unique needs of the global media production industry.

Being developed over a scenic landscape with manmade lakes in an area of 43 million square feet along Emirates Road, IMPZ offers plots of land for construction, pre-engineered units for leasing, residential provisions for families as well as blue and white collar workers, community facilities and various recreational amenities.

The premises will include residential accommodation and facilities for recreation and fitness, a community centre, public bus service, mosque, clinics, parks, schools, supermarkets, shopping centres, banks, ATMs, and round-the-clock security to create a self-contained and convenient media production cluster.

The initiative brings a wide range of benefits to the industry. Like companies in Dubai Media City, companies joining the Zone can have 100 percent ownership. They are exempt from a range of taxes including those for machinery, equipment, raw materials and spares utilized by the industry. Furthermore, rules governing media production have been simplified to provide companies in the Zone tremendous ease of operation.

The Zone's first production cluster focusing on the printing and publishing industry will provide world-class infrastructure for print production and publishing activities.  IMPZ will have an eco-friendly industrial environment.  Tested concepts and practices will be adopted to recycle waste and enable companies to utilize each other's by-products instead of disposing them as waste. Renewable energy sources will be included in the site's infrastructure to guarantee reliable and clean power.
